Largo Medical Center Tower Expansion is well underway. The 19,000 sq.ft. tower expansion will complete in two phases. The first phase is a 2nd floor ICU renovation that is in the final stage of in-wall and rough-in and is expected to complete November 2018. The second phase is an addition and expansion of the 5th floor that will add two wings to the facility that is expected to complete April 2019. The second phase recently saw it’s top-out and pouring of the roof. Enterprise is currently installing its prefabricated branch panel homerun racks and temporary power for a tower crane and buck-hoist. In addition, we coordinated the extension of existing rooftop exhaust fans to the new roof with minimal impact to the facility and its patients.

The construction team is comprised of Gould Turner (Architecture), WSP (M.P.E Consultant), J. E. Dunn (general contractor), fellow HCA construction partner Bernhard MCC (mechanical contractor).

HCA (owner) selected this project to be the first project to implement their Trade Partner Construction Cross Training Program. HCA designed this program to enhance all trades knowledge of one another to improve coordination of installations on their projects. Assistant Project Manager, Russell Herman is leading our efforts on this project along with Senior Superintendent, Lou Caramanica, Foreman, Abdifatah Ismail and four electricians.
