Project Overview
Enterprise Solutions delivered electrical and low‑voltage construction for the Seacrest Studio at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, a state‑of‑the‑art multimedia studio that enables pediatric patients to create TV and radio programming from hospital beds. The studio supports sets, cameras, microphones, a soundboard, and integrated patient call‑in capability to engage patients, guests, and studio interns.
Our scope included:
- Power distribution and dedicated circuits for studio equipment, AV racks, and broadcast systems
- Low‑voltage infrastructure for audio, video, and studio control systems
- Temporary power planning and shutdown coordination to maintain the continuous operation of adjacent pharmacy equipment during reroutes
- Emergency egress lighting, exit signage, and fire‑alarm integration for construction‑phase pedestrian detours
Project highlights:
- Discovery of existing feeder conduits required rapid redesign and coordinated shutdowns with facility engineering; temporary power was provided to pharmacy equipment, and permanent feeds were reestablished and certified with a combined outage time of four hours without incident
- Construction sequencing included a weekend temporary “tunnel” corridor—fully lit and integrated with exit signage and fire detection—to preserve uninterrupted patient and staff circulation during lobby ceiling renovations
Enterprise Solutions’ careful planning, temporary power strategies, and tight coordination ensured mission‑critical hospital functions remained online while delivering a secure, broadcast‑ready studio that enhances patient experience and engagement.
