The project will expand the Women’s Center, outpatient rehab, Critical Care, and ICU Units at a facility located close to two major roads, State Road 414 and 429, for even greater convenience and access. The new Florida Hospital Apopka has incorporated plenty of open space and local greenery into the design and landscaping. Patient rooms have been designed to bring natural light indoors to provide a more holistic, people-centered approach to medicine. Many patient rooms will overlook the nearby 48-square-mile Lake Apopka. Florida Hospital plans on building a 400-resident senior living community at the old Apopka Hospital site once the new hospital opens. Completion of the new Florida Hospital Apopka campus is scheduled for October 2017.
