The 100 Oaks project transformed part of an existing structure with retail stores into an innovative medical facility. Vanderbilt University Medical Center wanted its new state-of-the-art clinic, lab, and pharmacy to blend in with the community, serve as a good neighbor to the retail stores, and help revitalize the area. The demolition for the project started in November 2007 on the second floor of the complex. The build-out of approximately 375,000 square feet began in June 2008 and was completed in February 2009. The 100 Oaks Clinic today offers 20 different medical specialty services for its patients in the renovated structure.
